✨ More Than a Party - A Community!

What a way to end the year for us.

Last week we hosted one of London’s largest startup Christmas parties again.

This time we had 1,400 😱 registrations and around 700 people showed up, exactly as expected.

The party was sick. I loved every moment of it.
What felt different this time is that most people in the room have known us for over two years now.

It wasn’t a party full of random strangers. For many, it was a chance to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

Back in April, during London’s Largest Demo Day, I had to ask the community for financial help when we hit issues with sponsors. My biggest fear back then wasn’t asking for help or admitting bad planning. It was the fear that this community only existed in my head.

It doesn’t.

I see founders helping each other.

I see investors sharing honest feedback.

I see people giving back because someone once helped them.

That night was pure fun.

We did Secret Santa. Almost everyone came and left with a present.
I dressed up as Santa. A few founders sat on my lap and shared their wishes. Yes, weird for some. Fun for those who joined 😅

Then came the raffle. The list of prizes was endless. I’m serious, loooooong.

Fraya Brinkman did an insane job securing over £20K worth of prizes. Some founders won 3 out of 6 tickets each. I swear the tickets were mixed properly.

The funniest part. Someone from Novabook kept winning 1:1 chats with Ruben Portz, the co-founder of Novabook. Her ticket came up three times in a row 😂
